Pinnacle Pinnacle® ASK

For Children

Will I be able to go to the same school as other kids?

Yes — many children with a range of strengths and challenges attend regular schools alongside peers, often with tailored support such as therapy or classroom adjustments that build skills and confidence. A clinical AbilityScore® and any diagnosis are formed only at a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre under qualified clinician care.

Will I be able to go to the same school as other kids?
Yes — school is for you too — Ask Pinnacle, the Child Development Kośa

Yes — school is for you too, and the right support helps you shine right where you belong.

In short

Yes! Lots of children with all kinds of strengths and challenges go to regular schools alongside other kids — and many do brilliantly. Sometimes you might get a little extra help, like a teacher who explains things in a different way or some therapy that builds the skills you're working on. The goal is to help you feel happy, learn well, and be part of the group.

What helps you do your best at school

  • A little extra help is normal. Some kids use glasses to see better, some use a special chair, and some get help with talking, reading or staying calm. Needing help doesn't mean you can't go — it means you get what you need to do well.
  • Your school can be your team-mate. Teachers, your family and therapists can work together so school feels easier and more fun. You might practise speaking, listening, writing or making friends.
  • Everyone learns differently. Some kids are great at maths, some at drawing, some at running fast. Your way of learning is allowed too — and grown-ups can help you find it.
  • You are not alone. Lots of children go to school with support, and they make friends, play games and learn just like everyone else.

School is a place for every child — including you.

How grown-ups decide what helps

Your family and a kind clinician can look at the things you find easy and the things that feel tricky, then make a simple plan. That plan helps your school know the best ways to teach you, so you feel confident and ready to learn with your friends.

What to watch

Notice if school feels too hard for your child — trouble understanding lessons, struggling to speak or be understood, finding reading or writing very difficult, or feeling left out or anxious — and share this with a clinician who can plan helpful support.

Try this at home

Celebrate one thing your child enjoyed or did well at school each day — feeling proud and safe helps a child learn and belong far more than focusing on what was tricky.

Frequently asked

Can my child go to a regular school if they need extra help?

Often yes. Many children attend mainstream schools with adjustments such as therapy support, modified teaching methods or classroom aids. A clinician-led plan helps the school understand the best ways to support your child so they can learn and belong alongside peers.

Does needing therapy mean my child can't attend school with friends?

Not at all. Therapy builds the skills your child is working on — like speaking, reading or staying calm — and usually works alongside school, not instead of it. Many children attend school and have therapy too, thriving with both.

How do we decide what support my child needs at school?

A qualified clinician at a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre can assess your child's strengths and challenges through a structured AbilityScore® assessment, then help create a simple plan that guides teachers and family on how best to support your child.
