How Is My Child's Therapy Plan Made?
A child's therapy plan at Pinnacle is built from a clinician-led structured AbilityScore® assessment that maps strengths and needs, followed by meaningful goals, a tailored mix of therapies and a schedule around family life, reviewed regularly with parents as full partners. A clinical AbilityScore® and any diagnosis are formed only at a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre under qualified clinician care.
Your child's therapy plan isn't a template — it's a living map built around who your child is today and where they're growing next.
In short
A therapy plan at Pinnacle begins with a structured, clinician-led assessment of your child's strengths and needs across every developmental area. From there, your child's team sets small, meaningful goals, chooses the right therapies, and shapes a schedule around your family's life. You are a full partner throughout — the plan is reviewed and adjusted regularly as your child progresses. How the plan comes together
- Listening first. We start with your story — your concerns, what you're seeing at home, your child's history and what matters most to your family. Parents know their child best, and that knowledge shapes everything.
- A structured assessment. A qualified clinician carries out the AbilityScore®, a clinician-administered structured assessment that maps your child's abilities across communication, motor skills, social-emotional development, daily living and learning. This builds a clear, individual profile rather than a single label.
- Goals that mean something. Together we set specific, achievable goals — often everyday wins like "asks for water using words" or "sits for a meal" — because real-life skills matter more than abstract targets.
- The right mix of therapies. Based on the profile, your team selects the appropriate support — speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioural support, physiotherapy or a combination — and how often each is needed.
- A plan you can live. Sessions are scheduled around your family, and you're coached in simple daily activities so progress continues at home, where most learning truly happens.
- Reviewed and adjusted. Progress is tracked at every session and the plan is revisited regularly. As your child grows and gains skills, goals and therapies shift with them.
The whole plan is built on your child's strengths first — what they can do becomes the foundation for what comes next.
Your part in it
You're not a bystander — you're the most important member of the team. You'll understand each goal, why it was chosen, and how to support it between sessions. If something isn't working for your family, say so; the plan flexes to fit your life, not the other way around. The Pinnacle way

What to watch
Watch how well the plan reflects your everyday concerns and whether goals feel meaningful and achievable; a good plan should be clear to you, flex around your family, and be revisited as your child gains new skills.
Try this at home
Keep a small note of moments at home — what your child managed, struggled with or enjoyed — and share it at sessions; these everyday observations help the team fine-tune goals precisely.

Frequently asked
Do I get a say in my child's therapy goals?
Absolutely. You are a full member of the team — your concerns and what matters most to your family directly shape the goals chosen, and you'll understand the reason behind each one. If a goal or schedule isn't working for your family, the plan is adjusted to fit your life.
How often is the therapy plan updated?
Progress is tracked at every session and the plan is reviewed regularly. As your child gains skills, goals and the mix of therapies shift to match where they're growing next — it's a living plan, not a fixed document.
What assessment is used to build the plan?
A qualified clinician carries out the AbilityScore®, a clinician-administered structured assessment that maps your child's abilities across communication, motor, social-emotional, daily living and learning areas. It builds an individual profile rather than a single label, and is done only at a Pinnacle centre under clinician care.
