Strength & Agility

My child's Strength & Agility AbilityScore is 0–100 — next steps

A Strength & Agility AbilityScore on the 0–100 band is a snapshot of gross-motor strength, balance and coordination — not a diagnosis. The next step is to review the score with a qualified Pinnacle clinician, who interprets it alongside your child's age, history and everyday movement and recommends targeted support if needed. A clinical AbilityScore® and any diagnosis are formed only at a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre under qualified clinician care.

Your child's Strength & Agility score: what next — Ask Pinnacle, the Child Development Kośa

A single number is a starting point, not a verdict — it tells us where to look next, together.

In short

Your child's Strength & Agility AbilityScore sits on a 0–100 band that gives a snapshot of how their gross-motor strength, balance, coordination and agility are developing right now. A score is not a diagnosis — it's a signpost that helps a clinician decide what to observe more closely and whether targeted support would help. The next step is simply to review that score with a qualified Pinnacle clinician, who can place it in the full context of your child's age, history and everyday movement.

Making sense of the band

Think of the 0–100 band as a map reference, not a finishing line:
  • A lower band usually means your child may benefit from focused support to build core strength, balance and motor planning — the foundations for running, climbing, jumping and confident play. This is very workable with the right therapy.
  • A mid band often points to specific areas to strengthen rather than a broad concern — a clinician can pinpoint exactly which skills to nurture.
  • A higher band is reassuring, and a clinician can suggest play-based ways to keep building on those strengths.

The number on its own never tells the whole story. Two children with the same score can need quite different things, because what matters is why a skill is emerging slowly — strength, coordination, sensory processing, confidence or simply less practice. That is exactly what a clinician interprets for you.

What the next steps look like

  • Review with a clinician — bring the score to a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre so it can be read alongside a hands-on motor assessment and your observations at home.
  • A tailored plan, if needed — physiotherapy or occupational therapy can build gross-motor strength, balance and agility through play, in small, achievable steps.
  • Practise at home — everyday movement (climbing, hopping, ball play) is powerful when guided well.

What to watch

Watch how your child manages everyday movement — running, climbing stairs, jumping, balancing and getting up from the floor. Note tiring quickly, frequent falls, avoiding active play, or difficulty keeping up with peers, and share these observations with the clinician reviewing the score.

Try this at home

Build strength and agility through play — short bursts of climbing, hopping on one foot, balancing along a line, and ball games. Keep it fun and praise effort, not perfection.

Frequently asked

Is a low Strength & Agility AbilityScore a diagnosis?

No. The 0–100 band is a snapshot that signposts where to look more closely — it is never a diagnosis. A clinical AbilityScore® and any diagnosis are formed only at a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre, under qualified clinician care, where the number is read alongside your child's age, history and movement.

What does a lower band mean for my child?

It usually means your child may benefit from focused support to build core strength, balance and motor planning. This is very workable — with play-based physiotherapy or occupational therapy, children typically make steady, encouraging progress.

Can I do anything at home?

Yes. Everyday active play — climbing, hopping, balancing and ball games — builds strength and agility, especially when guided by your clinician's suggestions. Keep it short, playful and low-pressure.

What is the next step after seeing the score?

Bring the score to a Pinnacle Blooms Network centre for a hands-on review with a clinician. They will interpret it in context and, if helpful, suggest a tailored therapy plan.
