A young child with **dysgraphia** may grip the pencil awkwardly, tire quickly when writing, form letters unevenly or back-to-front, struggle to stay on the line or space words, and have wonderful ideas out loud that somehow shrink the moment they have to write them down. The thinking is fine — it is the *getting-it-onto-the-page* part that is hard.
