Your first visit to Pinnacle Blooms Network is a warm, unhurried welcome lasting around 60–90 minutes: you share your child's story with a clinician, your child is gently observed through play, and where appropriate a structured clinician-administered assessment begins — leaving you with clear next steps. AbilityScore® is part of Pinnacle’s developmental assessment. Diagnosis, where needed, requires an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

*Walking in for the first time can feel like a big step — so here's exactly what to expect, so you arrive knowing you're in caring, capable hands.*

## In short
Your first visit is a **warm, unhurried welcome** — not a test your child can fail. You'll meet our team, share your child's story and your hopes, and your child will be gently observed and, where appropriate, begin a structured clinician-led assessment in a play-friendly space. You leave with a clear understanding of next steps. Most first visits take around 60–90 minutes, and you are with your child throughout.

## What actually happens, step by step
- **A warm welcome & paperwork** — our front-desk team helps you settle in, complete basic registration and share any earlier reports, prescriptions or concerns you've noted down.
- **Your story comes first** — a clinician sits with you to understand your child's development, your day-to-day worries, milestones, medical history and what you most want help with. You know your child best, and this conversation matters.
- **Gentle observation & play** — your child meets a therapist in a child-friendly room. Much of the early assessment looks like play, so your child stays relaxed and we see them at their natural best.
- **A structured, clinician-administered assessment** — where appropriate, our qualified clinicians begin a structured evaluation of your child's communication, motor, social, sensory and learning skills. This forms the basis of your child's clinical AbilityScore® profile.
- **A clear conversation about next steps** — before you leave, the clinician explains what was seen, answers your questions, and outlines whether any further assessment or therapy is recommended. There's no jargon and no pressure.

Bring along any previous reports, a list of your questions, and — if it helps your child feel calm — a familiar toy or snack. There is nothing to prepare or rehearse.

## What you'll leave with
You'll leave with a clearer picture of your child's strengths and needs, an understanding of any recommended next steps, and a sense of partnership — that you're no longer navigating this alone. Pinnacle Blooms Network supports families through 70+ centres across 4 states, with 700+ therapists and 4.95 lakh+ families served, so the path ahead is well-trodden and well-supported.
