Can my child with DLD get a disability certificate?

In India a child with Developmental Language Disorder may be eligible for a disability certificate under the RPwD Act 2016, which recognises speech and language disability. The certificate is issued by a government medical board at a notified hospital based on the severity of the difficulty. A therapy centre cannot issue it, but provides the diagnosis and assessment reports that support the application.
